The Friends of the IW Library Service are looking for two people to join the team in our legal challenge to the IW Council, the only “qualifications” needed are a) to be a resident Island voter and b) to qualify to receive legal aid.
To find out if you can get legal aid, visit the link and go through the questionnaire, at the end it will tell you if you qualify.
It is anonymous so your privacy is not broken. You will need to select the option for “other legal representation”
More friends needed
We are also looking for members or rather “Friends” so that we can show that we have Island wide support, all we need from you is permission to include your name, town or village of residence and an email address.
This list will not be made available to anyone else and will only be used to keep you up to date with progress.
More savings will be made
Please, if you want to protect the excellent library service that we have, please join us no matter what part of the Island you live in, because as the Council have a further £24million to save over the next three years, just because your library has escaped this year it is no guarantee that it will escape next year.
