Coffee shops and ‘in-sourcing’ suggested as budget amendments from UKIP cllrs

The two Isle of Wight UKIP councillors have tabled their suggested amendments to the proposed budget that will go before the full council next Wednesday for approval.

Among the suggestions is a proposal to create a Coffee Shop in Lord Louis Library to help generate a long term income.

Also suggested is for the council to lease out artworks they own.

They also suggest ‘in-sourcing’ council services, charging for collecting Trade Union subscriptions from its staff and rounding up fees and charges to the nearest pound.
