UKSA’s fundraising abseil challenge offers unique views from Portsmouth landmark

Experience an amazing adrenaline rush and take on a 100 metre descent down the side of Portsmouth’s iconic landmark, Spinnaker Tower.

Each brave fundraiser will experience an unrivalled view across Portsmouth Harbour, the Solent and the Isle of Wight, as they descend down the Spinnaker Tower on Saturday 18th May.

Fundraising for UKSA
Participants must be over 18 (or over 14 with a guardian present to sign consent) and can secure their place today with a £50 payment and a commitment to fundraise sponsorship of £200 for UKSA – the UK Sailing Academy, a charity based in Cowes, on the Isle of Wight.

Travel to Portsmouth is kindly provided by Hovertravel and each fundraiser will receive a medal of completion, a t-shirt, photograph at the top of the tower and a Go-Pro video of their decent!

Seeking fundraisers to take on the challenge
UKSA Fundraiser Ashleigh said,

“We are super excited for this year’s abseil event and are looking for brave fundraisers to take on this incredible challenge whilst helping out a fantastic local cause!

UKSA inspires children and young people to broaden their horizons through its water-based adventures, education, and training for careers at sea.

“All funds raised will help UKSA to provide life-changing experiences to young people through its funded programmes.”
