Slow start for Sandown
In the second half it started off very slow for Sandown and really did not command the game and through poor defending they allowed Gurnard to come back and score on 47 minutes.

From the kick off, Gurnard battled again and put a ball into the right hand side of the pitch where the Sandown goalkeeper Liam Suckling hesitated in coming out of his goal to clear was then punished with a fine kick past Suckling giving Gurnard’s second goal on 48 minutes.

Stern words from manager
Sandown were really not playing at their best and after a few stern words from the manager Jamie McInnes, Sandown managed to comeback on 54 minutes with a well earned goal from Antony Kettel.

In the 62nd minute Ethan Howard made a fantastic run passing through three Gurnard players to score the goal of the game.

64 minutes passed and Aedan Coode was taken down in the penalty area and the subsequent penalty was saved by the Gurnard goalkeeper for it to rebound into the path for Coode’s first goal of the match.

Coode then went on to score his 2nd goal on 67minutes and then Josh Gulseven rounded off a fine debut performance with goal on 65 minutes after the pass of the match from Harry Woodward.

Ethan Man of the Match
Man of the Match for Sandown was Ethan Howard of his passing play throughout the match and going past three players to score.

Sandown were very lucky to come away with the result they did as they were too confident coming into the match and thought it would be easy. Sandown just need to play the same against all teams then they can prosper this season.

Match Attendance 34.
