On Wednesday 14th January 2026, the Isle of Wight’s home educators will be getting together to meet and swap ideas at the Riverside Centre in Newport.
This all day event will be suitable for both new experienced home educators, those considering making the move and those just curious as to what will be involved.
The expo is being hosted by the Isle of Wight Learning Zone, the Island’s home education charity.
What to expect
n addition to home educators, the event will be attended by providers of services to home educators.
These include drama schools, tutors, forest schools, an Island biodiversity centre, a martial arts school, and many others.
Unique opportunity
Shimon Shaw, the Chairman of the Isle of Wight Learning Zone said,
“We are delighted to offer this opportunity, not just to home educators, but also to the businesses and providers that support the community.
“This will give people the chance to make new connections, put names to faces and, we hope, help home educators find service providers that they might otherwise not have encountered.”
