Upper Ventnor Post Office Closure

Post Office Closures: Have Your SayAnother point of interest to come out of the report of the Ventnor Town Council was the a reminder to residents in Upper Ventnor to have their say about the permanent closure of post offices.

The Lowtherville sub post office is one of those earmarked for permanent closure if plans by the Post Office go through.

On Monday last week, Ventnor Town Councillors discussed the idea of a mobile option and an outreach option at the Social Club, but all agreed that both the older population and the large number of South Wight Tenants in Upper Ventnor would be seriously disadvantaged if the PO was permanently closed.

The public consultation runs until Monday 26th November, so if you have something to say, send your letters to:

In your letter, remember to say which of the branches set to close you use and why it is so vital to you.

Alternatively, you can email your comments to consultation(at)postoffice(dot)co(dot)uk or call their Customer Helpline on 08457 22 33 44.

The Post Office has also stated that your views will not remain confidential unless you mark your correspondence with the phrase ‘In Confidence’.
