V-Bay Festival: Meditation to Music

The list of activities taking place in Ventnor at the weekend as part of the V-Bay Festival continues to grow with news of a ‘meditation to music’ session taking place on Saturday.

V-Bay Festival: Meditation to MusicSean and Amanda Kelly will be helping visitors to the festival relax with their free yoga ‘meditation to music’ sessions up at Church View, Church Street on the Saturday.

They’ll be opening their doors from midday and running half hour sessions until 6pm (so the last one starts at 5.30 pm).

We hear that there’ll also be a special evening session from 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm to introduce people to this simple, natural and peaceful yoga meditation in more detail.

Sean tells us that if you enjoy the day session you’re very welcome to go along to the longer evening session.

The benefits of yoga
This yoga meditation is suitable for all and no person is excluded.

Children find it interesting and simple and a good aide for keeping their attention steady.

Older people can benefit because there are no physical exercises involved.

It relieves stress and can help with various physical and mental problems by balancing the internal energies of the body in a natural way.

It is used as an alternative health therapy in many Indian, Russian and Australian hospitals and is now being explored more fully in the UK.
