Cllr Vanessa Churchman attended the National Association of Pension Funds in Birmingham last week on behalf of the IOW Council’s pension fund committee.
Bob Neill MP and Lord Hutton gave presentations on the report now being discussed and debated.
Cllr Churchman questioned both of them as to their proposals and the impact on Local Authorities.
Following on from this she has now been invited by one of the four leading actuarial partnerships, Aon Hewitt, to attend a very important ‘focus’ group at their offices in London to discuss the implications and implementation of the Hutton report.
