Local historical novelist Vanessa Hannam will be giving a talk at Waterstones in Newport tonight.
She will be launching her latest novel, A Rose in Winter from 6.30pm onwards, so if you’d like to meet the author and enjoy a complimentary drink and nibbles whilst you’re there you know where to go.
Set in the times of Restoration England, A Rose in Winter is the story of seventeen-year-old Mary Boynton.
Her wedding plans are dashed by the arrival of the plague and when her family flee to their Norfolk estate, Mary joins Queen Catherine’s entourage. Mystery, intrigue and love affairs play a major part in this latest novel from Vanessa Hannam.
