VB Pick Of What’s On This Weekend+ (podcast)

Once again we made our way to the IW Radio studio yesterday to catch up with Tom Stroud and talk about what’s coming up on the Island over the coming week.

VB Pick Of What's On This WeekendAs usual, there are tons of events taking place

For tonight, if you fancy a bit of live local music, we recommended a touch of folk, followed something more energetic at the Black Sheep Bar. The night, Cyclops, Cyclops, kicks off with some beautiful folk music from Puzzle Muteson and Becky Entwistle, whilst Hugo Frusslinky gets things kicking.

If you checked our events site which lists events happening on the Isle of Wight you’ll have seen how much is going on tomorrow.

We pick out some of our favourites taking place on the Island, including Mrs Cameron’s House Party and the Cowes FestiviTea Party which is supporting the IW division of the National Autistic Society.

For Sunday, we recommend readers heading to a free workshop taking place at Boojum and Snark in Sandown.

Later in the week, Quay Arts will be screening The Age of Stupid on behalf of the Eco Island Suppers Group and IW Friends of the Earth. We’re not sure whether it playing the night before the planning committee that hears the application for wind turbines was a considered decision, but it’s certainly good timing.

To hear our other recommendations, check out the podcast below and of course check all events OnTheWight.

The audio starts after the initial chat about what we’ve been up to in the last week ….
