The deadline for expressions of interest in taking over the Ventnor Botanic Garden passed last Friday (18th November) and today the council have finally revealed the number of those bidding.
Ian Anderson, IW Council director for community wellbeing and social care said, “Two Island-based parties have expressed an interest in taking on the leasehold of Ventnor Botanic Gardens.
“For reasons of commercial sensitivity, the identities of both bidders are not currently being revealed but each commits to maintaining the site as a thriving botanic garden.
“The bids are now being evaluated and the successful bidder will be determined by delegated member decision due in February.”
