DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY
Develop your own photography and use Photoshop to explore creative techniques to produce, edit and present your photographs. The course will involve some time out and about in the local area to practice and develop your new skills.

Basic computer skills are essential but no previous experience of Photoshop is required.

Do bring your camera along with you.

JEWELLERY MAKING
A 3 session workshop to learn and develop skills as a silversmith. You can design and produce a piece of silver jewellery in that time. Develop fret work skills using a piercing saw as well as filing and finishing techniques.

Suitable for beginners as well as those with some experience.

COMPUTERS FOR BEGINNERS
Come and learn how to use a computer in a small and supportive group. Progress from switching a computer on, to using the Internet, sending an e-mail and basic word processing.

WATERCOLOUR FOR BEGINNERS
Learn the basics of watercolour painting including composition, colour mixing, brush marks and tonal contrast. Create your own individual collection of work.

ACTING WORKSHOPS
Acting workshops leading to a performance in Ventnor in July. Work on your acting, speaking and movement skills in this friendly class. Explore improvisation, choral speaking and mime.

BEAUTIFUL BOWLS
An eco-friendly course to turn your junk mail into beautiful bowls. They can be purely decorative or an artistic statement! Develop papier-mâché skills and decorative techniques, using a variety of art materials including paint, collage and gold leaf.

No experience necessary.

Details
Our courses are generously subsidised by the Isle of Wight Council and the Learning and Skills Council; however most opportunities incur a course fee and / or a material charge to help cover costs (see listings for details). The course fees are the equivalent of £4 per session (£2 concessionary fee available for those on means tested benefit). It is easier to pay in full at the first session, but where this is not possible you can pay in instalments or weekly.
