Ventnor Exchange’s Crowdfunder surpasses goal, raising £34k for creative space

If you donated to Ventnor Exchange’s Crowdfunder appeal to transform a former builder’s yard into a vibrant creative and community space, you will have heard the latest news.

Despite the initial goal of raising £15,000, more than 300 people have donated than double that target for Ingram’s Yard, with the current total standing at £34,706.

Co-founder of Ventnor Exchange, Jack Whitewood, said,

“We’ve been completely bowled over by the support and thanks to those who donated, we’ve smashed our initial target to fund the first phase of improvements and work is already well underway.”

What happens next?
On Saturday 16th December, which is the official Christmas in Ventnor Day, Ingram’s Yard will be hosting a ‘pop up’ Christmas Market.

This will be a great opportunity to get a first look at the space where they hope to launch regular fortnightly markets from March 2024.

Jack added,

“The Crowdfunder remains open so please do continue to spread the word, there will be much additional fundraising to do for us to completely renovate and transform the space, but you’ve got us off to a flying start and for that we’re so grateful!”
