All seats are now fully booked for tonight’s screening of Tabu by the Ventnor Film Society at Ventnor Arts Club.
If you were unable to reserve a seat for tonight’s screening, the next event takes place on Tuesday 2nd April when the VFS will be screening Berberian Sound Studio.
Toby Jones plays a mousy sound engineer called Gilderoy. 1970’s Dorking: he has taken a job in a post-production studio in Italy. Lonely and homesick he finds himself working on an explicit horror called The Equestrian Vortex. Ultimately, it is not at all clear if the perceived horrors of the Berbarian Sound Studio are corrupting him, or revealing to Gilderoy his awful true destiny. With a face suggesting cherubic innocence, vulnerability and cruelty, Toby Jones gives the performance of his career.
As there is limited space at the venue, it is important to reserve your seat in advance.
