Ventnor Film Society: New booking system for screenings

Make sure you book in advance if you want to attend the Ventnor Film Society screening.

Kid with a Bike

Thanks to Paddie from the Ventnor Film Society (VFS) for this update on the new booking system for the fortnightly screenings. All seats are now taken for Tuesday’s screening. Ed

Ventnor Film Society opened its spring season in the new Ventnor Arts Club two weeks ago.

Being accustomed to regular audiences of thirty to forty people in its previous venue it came as a surprise when so many turned up on a chilly winter’s evening for the screening of the Iranian film About Elly.

There were disappointments as many people were turned away when the club reached its capacity some time before the start of the film.

Limited seating
The Arts Club provides an excellent venue for the society but capacity is limited to 44 seats.

For the immediate future, audiences are asked to reserve a seat by e-mailing

Cancellations must be sent by the previous day, 4th March. Please let Paddie know if you have booked a seat and are unable to attend as all seats have now been taken with a waiting list.

Tuesday’s screening will be The Kid With A Bike.

the truth seems to be alot of people just wanted to see “inside” the old bank to see how it had been revamped , and NOT the film to be honest , quite funny really ……..

You might be right, but when VFS showed films at the Winter Gardens the audiences were often larger than 44.
