The start of the Ventnor Fringe Festival is just one month away now, so News OnTheWight thought it would be a good time to dedicate a day to sharing information about a range of shows on offer.
Taking place between 22nd and 31st July in Ventnor on the south coast of the Isle of Wight, this is the twelfth edition of Ventnor Fringe Festival.
Bigger and better than ever
Formed in 2010 by a group of young people keen to bring arts and culture to their home town, the Fringe has grown each year and in 2022 is bigger and better than ever, with more than 80 different shows already confirmed.
Fringe Village
As well as venues in the town centre, such as the Ventnor Arts Club, Pier Street Playhouse and The Book Bus, the main festival village will be centered in Ventnor Park and Flowersbrook this year.
A variety of marquees will host performances of theatre, live music, comedy, cabaret, circus acts and more. There’ll be a range of food and drink vendors, as well as market stalls and plenty of Free Fringe events.
What to see
Look out for features on the site throughout the rest of the day for a taste of what to expect over the ten days of Ventnor Fringe Festival.
See the Fringe Website for full programme details and to book your tickets, or pop into the Ventnor Exchange on Church Street, Ventnor.
