To celebrate the closing of applications for this year’s Ventnor Fringe Festival, tonight sees another free launch event.
We hear from festival organisers that they’ve had over double the number of applications this year, coming in from as far afield as Sweden and France.
Tonight’s celebration will be an opportunity to see some previews of what will be happening this summer, as well as an opportunity to meet the team, give feedback and see a screening of the film they made earlier in the year with local musicians (including Alex Welsford’s, The Importance Of Being Well).
Join in on the open mic
They’ll also be live music and some open mic slots, so why not take along your instruments, poems, jokes or just your good selves.
It all kicks off from 8pm and won’t cost you a penny to get in. Just head to the Crab and Lobster Tap in Grove Road, Ventnor.
