Ventnor Huffers And Puffers

Ventnor Huffers And PuffersVentnor Huffers & Puffers Running Club has now been established for about two months, with membership numbers gradually increasing.

We meet twice a week at the Ventnor Haven – Thursday evenings at 6pm and Sunday mornings at 10.30.

The duration and difficulty of the runs varies according to those present at each session. Sometimes we just jog to Bonchurch and back.

On other occasions we have run over the downs to Wroxall. We keep to a conversational pace and have a good old natter as we huff and puff our way along.

We welcome any serious runner or casual jogger, or anyone thinking of taking up running – and we promise to be gentle with you!

There are no membership fees. If you have received that elusive acceptance for the London Marathon next year and are – wondering what to do now, then come along and train with our little group. We will give you loads of advice and help you get through those cold winter training runs.

Recent congratulations go to Roger who ran the Loch Ness Marathon on 5 October, finishing 422nd out of 2500 runners in a time of 3 hours 47 minutes, also Paul who ran the Solent Half Marathon on 12 October.

Andrew will be running a Half Marathon in Majorca next weekend. David has lost ten pounds in weight since the club started.

Give us a call if you are interested in joining the club:
