Ventnor Skatepark team prepares for major upgrade with new concrete obstacles

It’s been a busy week for the Ventnor Skatepark team, getting prepared for the mainland team to head over to the Island.

Work will start on the skatepark site on Saturday 1st June. As reported previously by News OnTheWight, a number of new concrete obstacles will be created to update the space.

All hands on deck
If you’d like to get involved, there will be plenty to do. All help will be greatly appreciated.

No experience is necessary, but if you have woodwork/concrete/building knowledge even better.

Just head on down to the skatepark and speak to the team.

Donate for materials etc
If you can’t get hands on, but would still like to help and can spare a few pounds, there is a fundraising appeal with Just Giving.

Park closed during works
Please note the park will not be in use between 1st and 10th June. Do not attempt to use it during these times as this will delay work being completed.

You can follow the updates via the Ventnor Skatepark’s Facebook Page.

I’m sure there’s nothing the lady needs more at this time of life than the right to drive sheep down Newport High Street.
