The eight-year-old skateboarder's speech on the benefits of a concrete skatepark was dubbed by the Mayor of the town council as "very illuminating and inspirational". Watch here.
This year could be the one that sees a permanent concrete skatepark built on Ventnor's seafront. Who knows, with skateboarding now added to the 2020 Olympics, an Isle of Wight concrete skatepark could be the making of future Olympians.
Of course it's disappointing that vandals have damaged Ventnor's skatepark (BTW - Can you help fix it up?) - but let's not be disheartened - There's some good news on the horizon for a much more secure future.
Quick! The auction ends at 10pm tonight (Friday) so make sure you get your bids in pronto otherwise you will miss out. Plenty of great Christmas presents at your fingertips and all proceeds go to the Skatepark Fund.
There are just four days left to bid for your favourite items in the Ventnor Skatepark Big Art Auction. There are loads of items still at £5, so get bidding and make sure you bag your chosen pieces.
There's a huge variety of artwork in the third Big Art Auction. You have until 2nd December to get your bids in online. Perfect timing for Christmas shopping.
The first two Big Art Auctions were really successful and a great way to raise funds and awareness for the campaign, so we expect the third to be just as good. Artists are invited to donate works of art.
An evening design consultation session takes place this Thursday between 8-10pm. All welcome to share their ideas for the proposed concrete skatepark on Ventnor's esplanade.
