Our Place session at St Catherine's

Ventnor Town Council hosts ‘Our Place’ community gathering at St Catherine’s Church

On Thursday 23rd November from 10.30am to 1.30pm, Ventnor Town Council and partner agencies will be resuming the monthly ‘Our Place’ session at St Catherine’s Church.

The event brings together groups from the local voluntary and community sector with Island-wide agencies. Organisations invited include our local PCSO, Citizen’s Advice, People Matter, Living Well & Early Help, Veteran’s Outreach Support, Ventnor Community Shed, Ventnor Well-being Cafe, Sight for Wight, and Baby Box Isle of Wight.

The following dates for your diaries are 21st December and 25th January 2024.

What to expect
There will be free tea, coffee and cake and the opportunity to talk to representatives of these organisations to access support or have an informal chat.

It’s a chance to meet with groups and agencies that don’t have a permanent base in Ventnor.

Weekly Thursday lunch club
The event also includes our regular weekly Thursday lunch club – a group of volunteers have come together to offer a free lunch every Thursday as a part of the Town Council’s Warm Spaces scheme.

This has been running every week since January 2023

Warm space
St Catherine’s warm space is also open, for coffee tea and cake, every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 10:30 to 12:30, it is free, and donations are appreciated.

If your organisation would like to take part in Our Place or you would like more information, please call  Tony on 07932 890679 or e-mail [email protected]

Thanks
Many thanks to the congregation and Church Wardens at St Catherine’s Church for supporting and hosting the event.
