Following our earlier publication of the bid to take-over the Winter Gardens by the Ventnor Winter Gardens Trust, next up is the bid submitted by Ventnor Winter Gardens Ltd.
The Business Plan was prepared by Julia Damrow of JD Consultancy on behalf of Ventnor resident, Klaus Kuhnke and the goes into great detail about what they aimed to provide, the financial challenges and requirements, marketing, business risks, surveys, etc.
Documents show £2m spend
Four documents are embedded below; 1) the 46 page Business Plan – with architect’s drawings of future plans for the building; 2) details of the phases of development complete with cost estimates – which indicate a spend of over £2m; 3) an outline of the plans for the future of the Winter Gardens and 4) the presentation made to the panel.
We understand that the panel didn’t ask for the full set of investment figures during the interview process, and that when Klaus was asked how much he expected the spend to be, he replied that it would be £120,000 immediately, but longer term would be in the region of £1.5-£2m.
