Here’s a bit of good news, Mark Armstrong who came to VB to put an appeal out to Islanders who had incorrectly recieved parking tickets at the Co-Op in Newport got in touch with us this afternoon.
After the good response that he had following his appeal for people getting in touch with him, he and six other people have already had their tickets cancelled and still more are to get refunds – all in in just a few weeks.
Mark tells VB that he’d been in touch with Dennis Hilton at Co-Op Head Office who is in charge of car parks and he’s been very helpful and understanding.
Refunds too!
What is even more amazing is that some of the people who Mark has been helping, who had already paid their incorrectly issued parking tickets, have been told that they’re will have their payment refunded.
As Mark said to VB, “It’s a bit of victory,” concluding, “It just shows what can happen if everybody sticks together.”
Get a Co-Op ticket incorrectly?
Mark said he’s still willing to help people, if they want to get in touch with him (details at bottom of article).
