Shore Road, Ventnor – known locally as the Cascades – was closed on Thursday evening after a small void in the road was discovered.
Work was carried out by Dynorod on behalf of Southern Water on Friday and the road has now been reopened.
Temporary traffic lights are in place until the work is completed.
