Vote for Josh: Frank James Friend up for a national award

Josh Aitken-Dunkeld, one of the youngest Friends campaigning for the protection of the former Frank James Hospital is up for a national award.

The 2016 Historic England Angel Awards recognise the contribution by young people to heritage projects and Josh certainly qualifies.

His commitment and dedication to the protection of this important piece of Isle of Wight history has been second to none.

At the last gathering of the Friends at the site, Josh said,

“I was determined to leave our mark on Frank James so I had a commemorative plaque made for my pear tree, so that the owners will always know that we The Friends of Frank James saved this building!”
