Walking 27 miles for a cause: Help St George’s School raise funds for a new minibus

St George’s School in Newport on the Isle of Wight is a secondary school for students with a range of complex additional needs.

We believe in providing all students with a full, balanced and meaningful curriculum, which meets their needs and aspirations. This includes vocational courses, real life experiences and opportunities to engage in meaningful real life learning.

Finance and transport challenges
Of course, this comes with its challenges such as finances and transport.

A group of passionate staff members are hoping to raise enough funds to provide the school with a new minibus, which all students will be able to use to access experiences, and learning outside of the classroom.

Walking 27 miles
On Saturday 29th April, we will be walking 27 miles as a group in the hope of raising some of the funds required.

Our route will consist of hills, muddy puddles and plenty of flapjacks! This is going to be a huge challenge for some of us (older, unfitter members).

Our wonderful students would hugely appreciate any amount you can donate.
