Want to know about Ventnor Fringe Festival? Listen to this insightful interview with one of the co-directors

The first two days of Ventnor Fringe Festival have seen live music, theatre, cabaret, comedy, art, workshops and loads more, filling the town.

If you haven’t been down to the south coast of the Island for the Fringe yet, there’s plenty on today (Sunday) and the next eight days – ticketed shows (excluding Monday) and lots of free fringe events.

This year includes a new venue at Flowers Brook, an idyllic location just beyond Ventnor Park, featuring the Big Top tent, a bar and plenty of space to sit and relax soaking up the sunny atmosphere.

To find out more about the background to the festival, what it brings to the town, other work the team do for the rest of the year and much more, you can hear one of the Co-Directors, Jack Whitewood, talking to Tom Stroud on BBC Radio Solent (click on link to listen).

As you would expect from Tom and Jack, it’s a great interview, lasting around 15 minutes and really gives you an insight into what makes this annual event just so special.

All praise
Hat’s off to Jack, Mhairi, Megan, Marty, Elana, Cara and the rest of the Fringe family for bringing this incredible event to the town.

There are more than 80 volunteers who also help make this event happen every year, some who come over to Ventnor from the mainland just to be part of it and many from around the Island.

Ventnor Fringe Festival continues to run until end of Sunday 31st July.
