The council’s Rights of Way Team has had to temporarily close a footpath between St Mary’s Church and the duck pond in Carisbrooke.
This is because there is a broken tree limb located up high which will fall (currently tangled up in other tree branches). A tree surgeon is due to deal with the branch today (Tuesday) or tomorrow morning (Wednesday).
The footpath is a very popular route to school, and parents are asked to tell their children not to use this route until the tree is made safe.
