We’re not sure whether it was the same where you are, but down here in Ventnor last night, it was ‘blowing a hoolie’. Coincidentally on the 25 year anniversary of the Great Storm of 1987.
The cross-Solent travel doesn’t seem to be affected today, and we haven’t heard of any trees down obstructing roads.
Was it as bad as it sounded?
Did anyone suffer any flood damage?
Did anyone spot any flying trampolines (see video below)?
