There’s no denying it, Christmas fever is all around us. If you haven’t started buying gifts for friends and loved ones yet, we’d strongly recommend heading to Jubilee Stores at the end of the week.
Once again Island artists and makers will be holding their Christmas Sale and Open Studios event.
Taking place on the riverside at the Jubilee Stores, an old converted warehouse on Town Quay, Newport, Wayzgoose brings together 21 artists who’ll be showing their wares and providing you with a great opportunity to support the local art scene whilst buying unique and interesting presents.
There’s a huge variety of work for sale (just take a look through the image gallery below), from ceramics to glass-ware, prints, lithocuts, basketware, jewellery, clothing, paintings, the list is endless, so there’s plenty to choose from.
When can I go?
There are two opportunities to meet the artists and makers and discover a huge variety of high quality art and craft items.
The first is the opening night this Friday (9th December). From 6pm until 9pm all are invited to pop along to Jubilee Stores to enjoy mulled wine and mince pies, with local Bloodstone Border Morris dancers performing around 7pm.
If you can’t make it on Friday night, the Stores are open all day Saturday from 10am until 6pm.
