We checked and were pleased to see that there’s land underneath us – hope you’re finding the same.
Why are we asking such a strange question?
VB reader Wayne Spurge recently went for a canal boating holiday with ABC Leisure Group.
On getting home Wayne tells us that he was sent a ‘how did you get on with your holiday’ type form, that included a map of the UK.
“it looked a bit funny”
“I was looking at this map and was thinking it looked a bit funny,” he told us, that was until he noticed that the Isle of Wight had been missed off.
It’s appears that the company had erased the Island (perhaps down to the lack of canals on the Island we wondered).
We got in touch with ABC Leisure Group to check the story and a lovely lady called Hayley confirmed that, yes, indeed they had missed the Island off. Whoops!
She kindly apologised to the Island and confirmed that it was partially down to the lack of canals on the Island.
