Baxter:
Anneli Baxter, SIBA Competitions Chair, lauded the achievements of the breweries honoured, remarking,

“It is a pleasure to see so many superb beers from independent breweries of all sizes taking home in this year’s awards.

It is incredibly tough to win a category Gold at a regional level, so to then go on and be named as one of the very best in the whole of the UK at the National Awards is a massive achievement that these brewers should be hugely proud of.”

“This is truly overwhelming”
Father and sons team George, Fergus and Edward Bristow founded the brewery during lockdown of 2021, having had no prior commercial brewing experience, and George said of their Silver Award

“This is truly overwhelming. To set up an ambitious new project like Wight Knuckle Brewery, bringing craft beer to the Isle Of Wight, and to take home a national award like this is a true testament to the hard work of the entire team. For us to win a regional award was more than we could have imagining, and to follow that up with recognition at a national level is truly incredible experience. This really puts Isle of Wight produce and island brewing on the map!”

Commitment to crafting exceptional brews
Wight Knuckle Brewery’s success underscores its commitment to crafting exceptional brews since its establishment in 2021.

This latest accolade comes off the back of their significant investment in a new brewing site at Nunwell Farm, Brading, which has expanded capacity 4x from their original location at The Pilot Boat Inn.
