Following customer feedback at its latest Meet the Managers event, Wightlink is amending its Yarmouth to Lymington timetable to improve train connections.

At the recent Yarmouth Meet the Managers, held at the end of March, customers suggested that retiming two Saturday morning sailings from the Island would be helpful.

Change to Saturday sailings
As a result, the 0750 and 0850 Saturday sailings from Yarmouth will now leave five minutes earlier, at 0745 and 0845, allowing better connections for Islanders with trains from Lymington Pier.

Sean Millward, Head of Port Operations, explained,

“We were approached by several customers during our last Meet the Managers consultation event who suggested that by making just a small change to our timetable, we could make a big impact on their onward travel, and we were happy to oblige. Direct feedback from our customers is a really important part of constantly improving our services.”

The new timetable begins on Saturday 12 April.
