Following the sad loss of Isle of Wight teacher Chris Wilkins last term, the VI Form Campus students and staff wanted to pay tribute to and create a permanent memorial to the highly regarded ICT and Government & Politics teacher.

The event, Wilko’s Waistcoat Wednesday raised £316. The funds will be used to buy a memorial bench that will be placed in the central courtyard at the Campus.

Annual event
Students have suggested that “Wilko’s Waistcoat Wednesday” become an annual event, with the money raised being donated to the British Heart Foundation.

One Year 13 Student Voice member said,

“Wilko was a true legend who will be dearly missed by teachers and students alike. He taught in such a way, that his lessons were always interesting and funny.”
