Have you signed up to Earl Mountbatten Hospice’s Walk the Wight this year? Ed
With the Isle of Wight Festival just around the corner, it’s a wonder John Giddings has the time or the energy to dedicate to other events, so Hospice staff are over the moon that the man in charge of the one of the most iconic music events has signed up once again to Walk the Wight in aid of EMH.
John will be doing the full walk on Sunday 15th May, to show his support and raise funds for the Hospice.
Grateful for support
Major Events Fundraiser and co-ordinator of Walk the Wight, Jax Jones, said the team were delighted to have the well-known music promoter on board,
“John already supports the Hospice through the Isle of Wight festival every year, where we sell thousands of our sunflowers, so we are really grateful that he is finding the time to support us through Walk the Wight as well.”
Giddings: “A great way to raise money”
John said he was looking forward to taking part again, having completed the full walk for last year’s 25th anniversary event,
“It’s a pleasure to support the Hospice both through the Festival and on a personal level through Walk the Wight.
“It’s an important charity on the Island which relies on people’s generosity to keep it going – I’m glad to do whatever I can to help, and what a great way to raise money with the excuse to witness the beauty of the Isle of Wight.”
