Isle of Wight band, The Bees, are getting some great media coverage at the moment.
Their Bush Hall gig in London has sold out and the Guardian are currently running an exclusive video of ‘I Really Need Love’, shot by Douglas Hart from The Jesus And Mary Chain. Quite a coup, well done lads!
Last Island gig before tour
Come November, The Bees will be going on a UK tour with Paul Weller, but before they head off in to the sunset, they’ll be gracing the stage at the Ventnor Winter Gardens once again.
The Ventnor band will be opening the second V-Bay Festival, a weekend of music, food and family entertainment, created to extend the seaside tourist season.
Win dinner for two and tickets to see The Bees
Organisers of the event are offering VB readers a chance to win two tickets to see The Bees play on 21st October.
If that wasn’t enough, they’re also throwing in dinner for two* beforehand at the Ale and Oyster on Ventnor’s seafront.
Answer this simple question
Paul Butler from The Bees is well known for swapping instruments during gigs, he often switches between guitar, drums and piano.
For your chance to win the above prize, all you have to do is watch the ‘I Really Need Love’ video and tell us how many different instruments Paul plays.
For those who made it along to the sell-out gig at the Winter Gardens earlier in the year, you’ll agree it was a great night out, so well worth taking part in the competition.
