Wish You Were Here Gig: Isle of Wight Bands A Plenty

puzzle mutesonFlicking through the County Press this morning, amongst all the adverts of what to do during the half term, a picture of The Jackson Analogue caught my eye and got me very excited.

Apparently, on 22 July this year, The IW Airport in Sandown will be host, under the name of Wish You Were Here, to a one-off showcase of island bands … Jackson Analogue, Motion Pictures, Paul Armfield, The Bees, Puzzle Muteson (pictured left) and Plushy Edwards. How excellent is that?

Dick Steele who owns the airport, was well up for the gig when Eden Albez suggested it after a Jacksons video shoot at the airport. They’ve been pulling it all together since February and with a line-up of the best island bands, this is sure to be the most rad-tastic gig of the year.

Tickets will be £10 each, (an absolute bargain) but not sure when and where they go on sale. Once I know, I’ll find out and stick it up either on the blog or forum.

They’ll be plenty of food and drink provided by island caterers and if the weather holds up, it’ll be a cracking day out. If you’re lucky enough to get invited to the after show party (nod, nod, wink, wink), expect to be pleasured by party extraordinaires Mentasm.
