Witness Appeal After Indecent Behaviour Report In Newport

Google map of the areadPolice are appealing for more information after a report of indecent behaviour involving a man in Newport on the Isle of Wight.

Two girls, aged 14 and 15, from the Island were walking from South View along the footpath towards Elm Grove next to Nine Acres School.

The teenagers saw a man standing alone next to a hedge on the school field at around 9.45pm on Thursday, 4 August. He appeared to be on his own and was involved in an indecent act.

Description of suspect
The girls were shocked and went to a friend’s house to contact the police.

The man was described as:

* White
* 5 ft 8 ins tall
* Average build
* Aged in his 40s
* Mousey brown hair with a hint of blond
* Large eyes

He was wearing a:

* Cream coloured jacket
* Blue boxer shorts
* Light blue jeans
* A dark coloured belt
