As many readers (and Wootton residents) will be aware, Wootton surgery (part of Medina Healthcare) will be closing in September.
Users of the surgery, which include many Fishbourne residents, have expressed their anger, worry and dismay that the practice will be relocating to the Riverway industrial estate in Newport.
This is far from easy to access via public transport, and will make life even harder for older residents, those who have mobility issues or disabilities, or those with young children.
Fishbourne Parish Council and the Ward Councillor, Ian Dore, are working closely with Wootton Bridge Parish Council and their Ward Councillor, Sarah Redrup, to do everything possible to retain a healthcare presence in Wootton, even if it is a satellite surgery.
