Lemon Jelly Press hosts Words by Candlelight series at Department in Ryde on Thursday 2nd April, from 6pm to 9pm – its final instalment of the year.
Bloom and Shadow
The evening’s theme, Bloom and Shadow, explores the space between light and dark, drawing on the imagery of new life emerging from winter.
Poets and storytellers will share work that moves between joy and sorrow, hope and loss, with the venue lit by candlelight throughout.
An evening to settle into
Lottie Begg from Lemon Jelly Press describes the event as an opportunity to hear words that capture renewal, wild beauty, and the quieter, more shadowed aspects of the spring season.
The event will also see the launch of two book releases from performers Jason Watts and Gail Wareham.
