Our thoughts are with Anthony Minghella’s family and friends today on the one year anniversary of his death.
At just 54 years old, Anthony died last year after suffering a brain haemorrhage.
Last weekend saw an amazing tribute to his life and works with the Minghella Film Festival taking place in Newport.
It was a privilege to hear the thoughts and memories of those who knew Anthony so well and the over-riding theme that ran through all the events at the festival, was the openness in which Anthony was able to express his emotions and how that rubbed off on all those around him.
His death was a sad loss for the Island, the film industry and all those who lives were touched by Anthony Minghella.
