Your thoughts on Isle of Wight GP Surgeries revealed: See which surgery came out on top

The good and the bad of Isle of Wight GP surgeries have been revealed, according to what patients think.

In the national, annual GP survey, patients can share how they feel their local doctor’s surgery is performing — ranging from how easy it is to get through on the phone and how helpful the receptionist was.

It also ranks how ‘good’ patients felt their overall experience of the GP practice was.

Average of 117 surveys completed across 12 surgeries
The survey was sent to a range of patients at each practice but on the Island, only an average of 117 surveys were completed across the 12 surgeries.

Only one Island practice ranked higher than the area average in every question — the South Wight Medical Practice, Niton.

The survey found that only 15 per cent of respondents from Newport Health Centre found it easy to get through to the practice on the phone. Also, 51 per cent considered it “not at all easy”.

But, how do you rate them …
