If you didn’t book you 50p tickets on Hovertravel, you’ve already missed out!
All 5,000 of the special offer 50p tickets, announced on Friday, sold out in just three days – over the weekend.
One a minute
That’s a rate of over 1,500 tickets a day. To put it another way, around one ticket sold every single minute over the 24 hours of those three days.
Originally Hovertravel said that all tickets had to be booked by 30 April, so even Hovertravel seem to be stunned by the speed of them selling-out. The official message from Hovertravel is:
We’re very sorry the 50p seats have sold out much faster than anticipated. We’re sorry if you missed out this time. We have new offers coming out soon, so please check in again shortly.
When you could have used them
The cut-price tickets weren’t available for use at just any time, but over specific long weekends (Thursday to Sunday), with 1,000 tickets being available to each of the following periods
30th Apr – 3rd May; 4th Jun – 7th Jun; 2nd Jul – 5th Jul; 30th Jul – 2nd Aug; 20th Aug – 23rd Aug
