As mentioned earlier, the full list of uncontested parish and town council wards has been published by the Isle of Wight Council.
Following the publication of nominations last week, prospective candidates had until noon on Tuesday to withdraw.
It’s well worth checking the official document online, as there are changes to the lists released last week.
For example, Jonathan Seaver Fitzgerald Bond and Graham Perks have both dropped out of Ventnor East and are just standing for Ventnor West.
Susan Scoccia who was standing in St Lawrence and Ventnor West, withdrew from St Lawrence and will be just standing for Ventnor West now.
Equally, Valerie Taylor who was standing for Ventnor West and Lowetherville is now just standing in Lowtherville.
