Cafe Scientifique explores the paranormal

The Isle of Wight branch of Cafe Scientifique finds itself without a science or technology speaker for its November meeting.

As Halloween is approaching, organiser, Pam Ash, has suggested a return to the members’ interactive evening. This time based on the paranormal.

Pam says,

“Our last members’ evening seemed very popular and quite a few subjects were discussed.

“I expect quite a few of you know of cases of the paranormal or have had an experience that you would class as paranormal.

“The idea will be to try and find common phenomena in each type of paranormal experience, i.e. ghosts, poltergeists, telepathy etc.; to ask whether it is possible to investigate any these phenomena scientifically, or whether they are all ‘just in the mind’.”

Pam suggests taking along a notebook and pen with you to jot down any ideas.

The evening will be held in the usual venue – The Regency Suite above the Conservative Club in Palmerston Road, Shanklin. It takes place on Monday 3rd November starting at 7pm.
