Quay Arts QuayHolders Scheme

Becoming a Quayholder will help the arts scene thrive on the Isle of Wight

Quay Arts has launched its new QuayHolders’ scheme with the aim of engaging new arts supporters on and off the Isle of Wight and raising much needed funds to refurbish and develop its facilities and arts programme.

Challenging times
Over the past three years Quay Arts has had to respond to a changing and at times challenging period in its history. It has seen a dramatic reduction in funding, to the extent that it no longer receives core funding, either from the Local Authority or the Arts Council of England.

This has resulted in significant changes to staffing, the way in which it operates, and its future plan and activities.

Jacqui Cusack, Arts Manager (Quay Arts) says,

“Many changes have now been made and we are back on a stable footing. As part of that process we have had to revisit our core aims and think hard how we connect with our Island community. The Quay has faced many challenges over its near forty-year history and each time it has successfully responded and evolved, continuing to develop and support the Island’s arts community.

“As we enter this exciting new chapter in our history, our core aims have not changed, however we have looked hard at how we fund our activities to ensure we have a financially viable and sustainable future. For these reasons we have developed a new system for those wanting to support us and our endeavours through individual giving.”

Range of benefits
The new scheme has three levels of support ranging from Supporter through to Patrons, each providing a set of unique benefits and the opportunity to help shape the future of Quay Arts.

From as little as £3 per month you can help Quay Arts sustain its significant arts presence on the Island.
