Red Funnel Junior Ambassador, 11-year-old Jess Burfitt, has been selected for the Team England dance group taking part in the Dance World Cup 2024.
Successfully selected for the England team from over 100 entries, Jess who lives in Shanklin, has been training at MLD Studio in Ryde since she was just two-years-old and regularly competes regionally and nationally with great success.
A huge achievement
It’s a huge achievement for the junior dancer to have been selected as a soloist representing Team England at the global competition next year, the Dance World Cup taking place in Prague in June 2024.
Bringing home the silverware
2023 has been Jess’ most busy and successful competitive year to date, with Red Funnel’s support meaning she has been able to attend even more mainland qualifiers and competitions, bringing home plenty of silverware.

Of her recent selection, Jess said,
“I am so excited to represent England at the Dance World Cup, I never imagined I would qualify this is a dream come true.
“I am so grateful to Michelle at MLD Studio for all the time and opportunities she has given me over the years, to my parents for supporting me and to Red Funnel as my travel sponsor.”
