Isle of Wight 2010 Election: The Count (Video)

Isle of Wight 2010 Election: The Count (Video)We’ve been told by the IWC Comms Office that the count is moving much faster than anticipated. Given that, we’ve scrapped the nap and are on our way to Medina Leisure Centre.

From there, we’ll be providing live video coverage of the results announcement and interviews with the candidates (dependent upon mobile/wifi coverage). We’re told that the count should be completed by around 1am, so assuming all goes well, results will follow some time shortly afterwards.

Update: [01:56am]
A few papers are still being counted, but it looks as though the count is coming to an end.

There have been 70,387 votes cast on the Island today, an increase from 2005, equating to 64.03% of the voting population.

Keep this page refreshed for the live stream.
