There isn’t a month that goes by when we don’t hear about another amazing person living on the Isle of Wight.
This time it’s the turn of Isle of Wight inventor, Dan Roberts, who is about to embark on a very unique journey.
Dan has spent the last seven months building a most incredible contraption (in his living room), which he intends to use to travel to – and across – Spain on.
The Wooden Tricyle Thing
It’s been nick-named The Wooden Tricyle Thing and has been crafted by Dan’s capable hands, almost entirely from recycled materials.
As you can see from the eight minute video below, The Wooden Tricyle Thing also features many handmade add-ons, all of which were donated by his various artist friends from the Isle of Wight. What a great bunch of people we have living here.
Where would you go?
As we mentioned, Dan intends to cycle all the way to Spain and across it, and he’ll be asking people he meets along the way, “where would you go if you were travelling by wooden tricycle thing?”
We’re sure you’ll agree that Dan has done an amazing job. The tricycle is beautifully crafted and we wish him every success in his journey.
