This just in from Wightlink – Ed
Please be advised that owing to essential maintenance the Portsmouth Harbour to Ryde Pier Head Catamaran service is operating a revised service until further notice.
Sailings will depart from Portsmouth Harbour at 15 minutes past the hour and from Ryde Pier Head at 45 minutes past the hour.
UPDATE 27.Oct.2010 09:00: Five minutes after we published this – yes, that would make it 11:35PM at night(!) – Wightlink sent an amended version of their media alert, saying that “There will be additional sailings from Portsmouth Harbour at 07:40 & 08:40 and from Ryde Pier Head at 07:10, 08:10, and 09:10.”
Strangely we’d stopped updating
We’ve asked Wightlink if this applies to just Wednesday (today), or if it is “until further notice.”
